Perdido Key, Florida is an unincorporated communicated located directly east of Orange Beach, Alabama. Perdido Key is right on the Alabama/Florida state line and primarily caters to vacationers and those looking to own a second home in one of the area’s many Gulf-front condominiums. This area of Northwestern Florida is known as the Emerald Coast for the deep green color of the Gulf of Mexico, which offers a stunning contrast to the sugar-white sands that line the coast.
Perdido Key is home to the famous Flora-Bama roadhouse. Serving up fresh seafood and cold drinks right on the Old River, the Flora-Bama has long been a favorite for both locals and visitors. Aside from the great food and live music, the Flora-Bama also hosts annual events that benefit the local community. The most famous and popular event, attracting thousands of people every year, is the Flora-Bama Mullet Toss. This weekend-long competition is full of fresh seafood, vendors, live music, and signature cocktails to be enjoyed right on the beach.
The Beach Colony is comprised of three towers right on the Gulf of Mexico. The Beach Colony is conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants and is just a few minutes west of Johnson Beach, an undeveloped and protected area with an abundance of natural wildlife in a lush landscape. The Beach Colony sits between the Indigo and Sandy Key condos.
